5 POWERFUL LIFE LESSONS FROM THE ALCHEMIST BY PAULO COELHO
June 01, 2018The Alchemist tells a story of Santiago - a simple shepherd who ventures a journey to quest for treasure realizing his ‘personal legend’. Along the way, he runs into many obstacles and setbacks; But each of them becomes a lesson to Santiago, as well to us.
The book is full of lessons and inspirations spread all through the story. Here are some of the 5 important takeaways - lessons from the alchemist .
1.Learn to find the goodness in each day
While Santiago feels that he’s going through a monotonous life, and worries to choose between his sheep flock and dream treasure., the merchant’s daughter comes to his mind.
For her, every day is special, she always finds the goodness in each day and stays happy.
2. Live In The Moment:
During his journey with the caravan, Santiago hears about the civil wars on the way. Everyone get tenses and panic, The camel driver, though, seemed not to be very concerned with the threat of war.
The Camel driver says: “When I’m eating, that’s all I think about. If I’m on the march, I just concentrate on marching. If I have to fight, it will be just as good a day to die as any other.”, which is one of important lessons from the alchemist
3. Fear is a bigger obstacle than the obstacle itself:

3. Fear is a bigger obstacle than the obstacle itself:
During the journey with the Alchemist across the desert, Santiago says “My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer”. And the Alchemist replies:
4. Focus on your own journey:
On his journey, Santiago thinks about his friends. Santiago had many friends, but how?. He says, “When someone sees the same people every day, as had happened with him at the seminary, they wind up becoming a part of that person’s life. And then they want the person to change.
5. Practice rather than theory:
Santiago tells the Alchemist that he couldn’t learn anything from the books of the English man (who met during his caravan). And the Alchemist replies:
