Flevoland region has one of the largest open tulip fields of the Netherlands. Millions of vivid coloured tulips across the fields of Lelystad, Dronten, Zeewolde and Noordoostpolder may make you breathless!

BY CAR, FOOT OR BIKE

There are various walking / biking / driving routes that enable every visitor to enjoy and experience the amazing colourful tulips and the spectacular views of the polder landscape. You can download the maps from the links below:

MARKNESSE TULIP PICKING GARDEN
What is not allowed anywhere else in the Netherlands is definitely possible here😉. This 5000 m 2 area with more than 50 different exclusive varieties of tulips gives a chance to walk through, enjoy and pick yourself. There are also variety of activities take place during the tulip picking time.

TULIP WORKSHOPS 

There are numerous activities and workshops organized for the kids and adults at Creilerpad, from 19th April till 5th May from 10.00AM – 05.00PM. You are free to walk-in to the tulip fields nearby. There is also an option to try a helicopter ride above the tulip fields and a pony ride for the kids.

HELICOPTER TOUR ABOVE THE TULIP FIELDS

If you ever wanted to experience tulips from the air, this helicopter tour over the numerous tulip fields in the ´Noordoostpolder´ area will be a perfect opportunity. This Tulipfield Experience (Tulpenbelevingswereld) will take you over 460 different kinds of tulips.

Tulips are really photogenic, and no doubt the tourism board & farms also encourage you to visit them; but it goes without saying that you cannot just walk through the fields. That is only allowed in places where this is indicated! Let's respect the hard work and lifeline of those farmers!
